What is Rudraksha?
Having centuries-long history, the Rudraksha comes from the Eliocarpus Ganitrus tree, and there are a total of 36 species found in the world.
Rudraksha is actually derived from Rudra (Shiva) and Akash (Eyes or Tears), which dates back hundreds of years old and is used for mediation and healing.
NOTE: We NO LONGER sell other Mukhi seeds, only the common 5-Mukhi seeds.
The Rudraksha also comes in Mukhi, the lines on the seed and the Mukhi’s range from 1 Mukhi to 21 Mukhi. The lowest and highest Mukhi is also the rarest and expensive in the market. Usually, the most common Rudraksha is 5 Mukhi or 5 Face Rudraksha, which is available almost everywhere.
Because the higher Mukhi’s are rare and expensive, and we at Green Daun does not stock those. We only sell the 5 Mukhi or 5 faceted Rudraksha seeds in our shop. You can also get more information about the Rudraksha Mukhis from Wikipedia.
There are a few colours for Rudraksha in the market and the most popular natural colour. Some come in reddish-brown tones too. There are also white and black Rudraksha seeds, which are very costly.
How to use Rudraksha Seeds?
Rudraksha seeds are best worn as bracelets or necklaces. If you plan to make a Mala, then any number above 84 beads plus the ‘Bindu, Meru or Guru Bead’, which is the one additional bead, can be used.
When used as a Mala, it is used to count the repetition of a mantra or prayer, similar to rosaries in Christianity.
Modern days see people mixing Rudraksha seeds with crystal beads or lava stones. Due to the healing properties, a person doesn’t need to have all 108 beads because just one of a few beads is enough to earn the properties of the Rudraksha seeds.
What are the benefits of wearing Rudraksha Beads?
Many believe that Rudraksha beads provide a kind of protective energy for the wearer, to shield them from various circumstances, places and individuals they encounter in their daily life. Some even believe that the seed brings good fortune to the wearer.
However, when you dwell deeper into this, the different Mukhi carry different meanings. For example, a 1 Mukhi Rudraksha is considered the most prized because it brings all worldly pleasures to the wearer. It is also known to cure migraines and other brain diseases.
A 5 Mukhi Rudraksha represents the 5 forms of Lord Shiva, and it is said to bring purification to a person’s life. It helps to clear up past misdeeds and also grants inner peace and calmness in a person. Some say that this also helps to learn and develop one’s own uniqueness and cultivate wisdom and intellect. It also helps to lower blood pressure.
The 21 Mukhi, which is rare, is ruled by the custodian of wealth, Lord Kuber, known as Dhanapati or Lord of Riches. This helps to bring immense prosperity, wealth and good luck to the wearer. It also helps make the body free from any disease or sickness.
We only provide information here and do not sell the multiple Mukhi Rudraksha seeds. Please take note, and also, do not ask us where to get them.
