The Guinea Fowl feathers that are in various colours are all dyed using a process that sterilizes them, so they are safe to use.
We pack each packet with care and only the nice feathers are used. If you see other places that sell feathers, they are usually sold as-is, meaning that you will buy a packet of 20 or even 50 pieces, but they are random.
So, you will get small or medium feathers in all kinds of conditions. In most cases, you may only be able to use 50-60% of the feathers.
